Consultation mindset: You are a consultant, not a presenter. Say "let's determine the coverage you need." Circle answers on the Plan Sheet as you talk. Give them the sheet at the end.
1Open: Expected vs. Unexpected
Never skip this. Zero resistance. No one has ever rejected it.
"Can you agree that in business we expect things to go right — contracts to hold, employees to follow the rules? But can you also agree there are things we DON'T expect? We don't expect a lawsuit from an employee. We don't expect an IRS audit. We don't expect someone to misuse our business identity. Those unexpected things — that's exactly what I'm here to talk about today."
2Introduce LegalShield — 60 seconds
Four points only. Don't linger.

3Day-to-day challenges question
Get them talking first. Listen for what you'll circle.
"How do you handle your day-to-day legal challenges? Hiring and firing, contract reviews, collecting from clients who don't pay, tax questions? Are you managing those alone or paying high hourly rates every time?"

4Walk through the circled plan
Only present the ONE plan your circles landed on. Reference everything they said earlier.
"Based on what you told me, I want to walk you through the [plan] — let me show you exactly how it covers what you described..."

As you point to circles: "You mentioned contracts — right here, you get [X] reviews. You mentioned employees — this is your employee handbook. You mentioned collections — your attorney writes up to [X] letters a month."
5Employee handbook power move
If they have employees — do NOT skip this.
"If I could show you one thing that protects your business specifically around employees — would you want to hear it?"

(They lean in.)

"The #1 lawsuit against businesses with employees IS from those employees. Three years ago, average cost was $150,000 per suit. 6Cost-per-hour comparison
Ask their attorney's hourly rate first — then do the math in front of them.
"What does your attorney charge per hour? Let's say $400. The Pro plan is $183.95/month — $2,207/year. A business owner works 2,080 hours a year minimum. That's $2,207 ÷ 2,080 = $1.06 per hour for a law firm in your corner. Instead of $400 — would $1.06 sound more reasonable?"
7Employee benefits pivot
Only if they have employees. Zero cost to the employer.
"Now that we've protected your business — would you be interested in also protecting your employees and their families at no out-of-pocket expense to you?"

Key questions: "Would you agree many employees don't have a will? If an employee dealt with identity theft, do you think that affects their focus at work? If an identity issue showed up on a background check — would that impact their employment?"
8Close & call to action
Get them writing — paper apps are more powerful than digital. People who write are more committed.
"Everything you said you needed is right here — circled. The coverage that fits your business is the [plan]. Let's get you started today. We'll fill out the authorization form now — it locks in your rate even if full enrollment is next week."

Schedule activation: "I want to come back and make sure you download the app, access your portal, and make your first call. People are 43% more likely to keep the plan when they use it once in year 1."

If they hesitate: "The things you wrote down — those situations exist right now. What's your plan if one of them becomes a problem this week without coverage?"
